SSBC 2021 news

We had an almost normal bowling season this year. We enjoyed some County and National success with our ladies County Triples  finalists and County Two Wood finalist qualifying for Leamington.  We managed to complete most of our friendly fixtures with a slow start but becoming busier towards the latter weeks.  We held a full internal competition programme with our club finals on the 25th/26th of September.  We also had successful league teams from Stony coming top of their divisions. Our renowned Ladies tea party was held again this year on 6th of September. The visiting ladies had an enjoyable day bowling and the being served high tea by the suave SSBC waiters. We held our Club AGM on the 11th of November which was quite well attended.  The new Committee was elected and we have plans for a recruitment drive in the new year.  We are also making preliminary plans for the SSBC Centenary in 2023.  We held our Annual Presentation evening this year on the 13th of November.  This included live entertainment, a supper, dancing and a well stocked bar!  SSBC have a full closed season social programme with Sunday roast lunches, bingo, crib, quiz nights etc.  We are feeling very optimistic for a good year in 2022 and look forward to seeing you all soon.
