Royall Household Visit to SSBC Aug 2024
We welcomed the royal household to SSBC. A fantastic afternoon of bowling starting off with a Spider Bowl won by Jean Pluckwell. Jean donated the prize (a bottle of whiskey) to be auctioned off by Martin Parker for the Chairman’s charity. Ironically the SSBC Chairman (John Lonergan) placed the winning bid of £15, so at least he won something on the day. The match was followed by a delicious 2-course meal and a raffle.
Thanks to Annette Hirst, Rosie Lonergan, Viv Parker and Michelle Motley for the catering, and thanks also to the bar staff (Richard Brown, David Waddingham & David Jacklin) who kept the drinks flowing.
