Club Junior Section
The club has a junior section for young people aged 8 to 18. They meet every Thursday evening from 6pm to approx. 7.30 pm.
SSBC has an appointed Junior Manager to oversee and organise the development of the young bowlers, and we also have qualified coaches who are DBS checked.
The club works in close contact with Buckinghamshire Bowls and some of our boys have represented the county in the under 25 level and our girls in the under 31 level.
In addition to this; the county run an Academy twice a year for young bowlers from all the clubs in Buckinghamshire to meet & bowl, with and against each other.
Our juniors also represent the club in National, County and friendly competitions.
On Monday 6th May 10:00-16:00 we invite members of the public to join us for our Open Day. Free coaching will be available for any newcomers with plenty of people on hand to take you through the rudiments of the sport. Refreshments will be available throughout and the bar will be open all day. All equipment required to have a taster session will be available to use.
