Mid-Bucks Cup Rules
Each team to consist of Eleven players affiliated to their club.
Players may not play for more than 1 team in a season.
Clubs may only enter 1 team and entry fees to be paid by 1st March each year.
The eleven players will represent their club in five games – 2 Wood Singles, Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours.
The competition is a mixed one and a club can select different players for each round.
Each match consists of five games, all games to be played simultaneously although the 2 singles matches can be played one after the other if rink availability or markers prevent them being played at the same time.
Team scores 1 points for each game won.
All games will be played until a winner emerges.
If a game is tied after the requisite number of ends an extra end will be played until a winner emerges in each discipline.
A coin will be tossed to determine who controls the mat.
The home team will offer their opponents 3 dates to include at least one Weekend date and 1 Weekday evening.
The start time for matches should not be before 10am weekends or 6pm weekdays unless agreed by both clubs.
On receipt of the 3 dates the opponent will confirm the date with the home team within 3 days.
The final will be held on a date to be agreed at the AGM.
In the event of the home team’s rink not being available for any reason on the agreed date the match is to be transferred to the away team’s green or an agreed neutral green.
The home club will prepare five rinks. The captains will draw for rinks for each game.
A match will be deemed completed in the event of rain if 9 ends have been played on 3 rinks.
Result sheet to be forwarded by post or email to the Secretary within three days by the captain of the winning team.
Cut off dates for the completion of the matches is on the sheet containing the draw.
Any club unable to meet these cut off dates will forfeit the match.
The final to be played on that year’s host green.
Any disputes are to be referred to the Secretary in the first instance.
In all early rounds the teams must wear either Greys & Club Shirts or Bowls England approved club colours.
The final will be played in Whites and Club Shirts or Bowls England approved club colours.
The host club of the final is to provide 2 markers for the singles.
A County umpire will officiate in the final.
No meal need be provided unless agreed between the clubs concerned and there will be no meal supplied after the final.
