Curry Night Nov 22nd 2025
Chris & Pete Almond organised a wonderful curry night for 42 members in the clubhouse, ably assisted in preparing the food by Viv Parker, Penny Davis, Julia Jacklin and Michelle Motley. Additional thanks to Michelle for making all the wonderful desserts which were also very well received. Thanks to Lester Davis for his tremendous efforts in clearing away. Special thanks to Maureen French, Gina Doddington, Michelle Motley, Julian Jacklin, Viv Parker & Penny Davis for washing up and putting away. Thanks to James Motley, Michelle Motley, Viv Parker, Martin Parker, Lester Davis & Penny Davis for serving all the food. Thanks to David Jacklin and Martin Parker for arriving at noon to help set out and lay up the tables and for returning the tables to the standard layout at the end of the evening. Thanks to Norman Robinson and Richard Brown for managing the bar throughout the night. Finally thank you to everyone who came along to support the event and helped make it the success that it was.
The evening was a great success and everyone seemed to really enjoy their food. The meal began with a selection of condiments prepared by Peter Almond and served with poppadoms. Four menu choices for mains were available to choose from comprised of beef massaman, chicken tikka masala, chicken Jalfrezi and a vegetable curry. Three naan bread options were available; plain, garlic & coriander and peshwari.
The whole event was a huge success and hopefully will be repeated in the not too distant future.
